Getting Into Gateway Casinos Clinton

At 147 Beech Street the door rule comes down to age and ID, with one extra card for anyone 21 or younger. The rest of this page covers who may not enter at all and what help is on hand for visitors with disabilities.

Age and ID

A casino in Ontario is off limits by law to anyone under 19, both for entering and for staying. At 147 Beech Street, staff check that rule as guests arrive. Valid government-issued photo ID is needed, and entry is 19+.

For guests who are 21 or younger, the Clinton door also wants a second document bearing their name. At that age one card falls short, even when the photo ID is current. The Beech Street desk keeps the advice simple: anyone 21 or under should bring both cards on every visit. With the two kept together in a wallet, a drive in from Seaforth or Exeter will not end at the door.

Who may not enter

Anyone trespassed from Gateway Casinos Clinton, or self-excluded from it, may not visit. The rule reaches beyond Beech Street: a trespass or self-exclusion at any Ontario gaming property also keeps a person out.

OLG's My PlayBreak is one way to arrange that kind of break. Choosing a casino break shuts the doors of all Ontario casinos to the person, the room in Clinton included. The options are 3 or 6 months, or a longer stretch of 1 to 5 years. There is no early way out once the term is chosen. Sign-up is handled by the OLG Support Centre, 1-800-387-0098, or by staff at a casino.

Accessibility on request

  1. Anyone who needs a wheelchair, an accessible format or a communication support can ask for it on Beech Street.
  2. The public areas on Beech Street are open to guide dogs and other service animals.
  3. Guests may bring and use their own assistive devices.
  4. Support persons are admitted, subject to the same 19+ age rule as every other visitor.

Short answers

Does a 20-year-old need two pieces of ID?
Yes, because anyone 21 or younger must carry valid government-issued photo ID and a secondary piece of name identification.
Can someone under 19 come in?
No, in Ontario a person under 19 is barred by law from coming into a casino or staying in one.
Can a support person come along?
Support persons are admitted, but the age rule covers them as well, so each must be at least 19 and bring ID.
Can a My PlayBreak term be cut short?
There is no way to end a My PlayBreak term early, so choosing its length calls for care: 3 months, 6 months, or something between 1 and 5 years. Help from ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600 costs nothing and is there 24 hours a day.
