What the room has
Gateway Casinos Clinton counts 141 slot machines on its floor. Its slots page mentions reel-style and video machines in every denomination. When the doors are open
The Clinton floor keeps one schedule on all 7 days, opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 1 a.m. The Beech Street desk gives every time in Eastern time. So a late night finishes early on the next calendar day: a Friday that opens at 9 a.m. closes at 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Getaway Express, the food outlet, keeps shorter hours: 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. No separate holiday hours are published. Before a trip on a holiday, a call to 519-482-7540 is the surest check.
What is on site
Parking on site is free at the Beech Street lot. Coffee, tea and fountain pop are the only complimentary non-alcoholic drinks served inside. Guests will also find bank machines (ABMs) plus currency exchange. Getaway Express, fully licensed, handles food from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with light meals, snacks and drinks.
Visitors with disabilities are welcome at the Clinton casino on Beech Street. Staff hand out wheelchairs, accessible formats and communication supports to anyone who asks. Guide dogs and service animals can go anywhere in the public areas, and visitors may carry in assistive devices of their own. Someone acting as a support person is let in as well, if that person meets the 19+ rule like every other guest.
The track next door
Next door at 129 Beech Street sits Clinton Raceway, a Standardbred harness track owned and run by Clinton Raceway Inc., not Gateway. Live racing happens on Sunday afternoons in summer, and the track posts each season's race dates on clintonraceway.com. The Clinton Kinsmen and Kinette Club brought pari-mutuel wagering here in 1970. Its grandstand was rebuilt from the fall of 2024 as a modern 400-person grandstand.
The simulcast, where wagers go on racetracks across North America, is not inside the casino on Beech Street. Clinton Raceway, not Gateway, runs it out of the Huron Fish and Game Club at 278 Alma Grove. The weekday schedule, Monday through Thursday, is 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday it stretches from noon until midnight. Sunday hours are shorter, 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., and Christmas Day is the single closed date, leaving 364 open days a year.

At the door
Ontario law keeps anyone under 19 from entering a casino or staying in one. The Clinton casino on Beech Street lets in guests 19+ who carry valid government-issued photo ID. Visitors aged 21 or under must also show a second document bearing their name, so a 20-year-old arrives with two.
Staff at the Beech Street entrance turn back any guest who has been trespassed or has self-excluded. Getting Into Gateway Casinos Clinton
Who runs the casino
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs the casino at Clinton Raceway. In May 2017 Gateway took over the day-to-day operations and assets of OLG's Southwest Gaming Bundle. That bundle included the slots at Clinton Raceway. The deal is a 20-year operating agreement with OLG.
Across Ontario, casino gaming is OLG's to conduct and manage. The daily running of each casino falls to a private operator, and the AGCO regulates those operators. For the slots beside the Clinton Raceway track, January 2014 brought accreditation under RG Check, a program of the Responsible Gambling Council.
Online play in Ontario
Ontario's regulated online gambling began on April 4, 2022, as the Beech Street desk points out. That market is conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario, and the AGCO regulates it. A private online casino may legally run in Ontario only once it holds both AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario operating agreement.
